I tried to sign up for Lyft, Sidecar and Uber to try out the lanesplitting Tango as a Taxi in San Francisco. Unfortunately, they require a 4-door car. I've been thinking of a model that is 4 doors, still 39" wide but long enough for a comfortable back seat and a trunk, giving faster taxi rides in dense cities. Even in NYC, where lanesplitting is illegal, the Tango is so much faster than any other car due to being able to scoot past taxis as they start to move over, without even really lanesplitting. The 4-door taxi could't park perpendicular to the curb, but that's not an important feature for a taxi. What are your thoughts?

Sidecar changed its policy to allow 2-door cars. I've done a number of deliveries and given rides now in a Tango. In one case I cut the delivery time in half from what was expected by Google maps.
